The Printomic™ brand Termite Bait Station Basic Access Key is designed to open 2 inch bait stations. This tool is an upgrade over the OEM supplied plastic tool. The tool offers a better hand grip and a smooth fit into the station lid. It has been designed with rounded edges in the right places to increase comfort and durability. It has an integrated slot for engaging the extractor strap to remove the bait. This key is compatible with Hex-Pro® Stations.
This tool is not compatible with Sentricon stations. While it may open them it is likely to result in damage to the station lids. The fit is too loose. I do sell two versions of a key that will fit Sentricon stations please see my other products.
NOTE: This listing is only for the plastic station key tool. It does not include any station components or bait. Station components include but are not limited to lids, brims, monitor extractors etc.
Similar products often have sharp edges which are uncomfortable to use and can lead to cracks at the corners. In addition, similar products are often slightly too large which places stress on the station lid leading to damage. The station lids live a hard life in the outdoors and are prone to the tabs crumbling after they have been in the field for a long time. This tool is specially designed for a close fit that does not place stress on the station lid.
This tool was designed and tested by a licensed pest control professional. The tool has been physically tested for fit and function with Hex-Pro stations.
To check whether this tool is compatible with your bait station, measure the width of the slot on the lid. If it measures approximately 12.3mm (just under 1/2″) and has a raised ridge in the middle of the key slot it will be compatible with this tool.
Important:
The strap is designed for up to 5 pounds of pulling force. Bait can become stuck due to roots, soil, or termite activity. In those situations a clean-out tool should be used to clear the station of soil and bait debris. Pulling with more than 5 pounds of force may cause damage to the tool.
