Termite Key + Bait Puller / Extractor – TBKS4 – by Printomic™

Description

The Printomic™ brand Termite Bait Key & Puller / Extractor is designed to open Trelona™ brand stations and pull Trelona bait cartridges from the stations.  The key end of the tool engages the lid geometry to make opening and closing stations easy.  This tool has an ergonomic handle and the interface is designed to properly engage the cartridge.  This is compatible with Trelona®, Trelona Annual® and Trelona ATBS® stations.  This listing is only for the plastic TBKS4 tool.  It does not include any station components or bait.

Notes:

• For cartridges that have become wedged due to physical damage, have tree root intrusion, or which have had the lid separate from the cartridge it may be necessary to use a different tool.  This is designed for normal cartridge removal.  It does not interface with the bottom of the cartridge.  Cartridges have to be black side towards the top.
• This tool is made to very tight tolerances.  While each unit is physically tested with a Trelona cartridge prior to shipment the tool itself may still need to be “broken in” when it is received.  If the tool does not want to go in at first follow these steps to break in the tool.  Place cartridge on firm surface such as a workbench or hard ground.  Line tool up with cartridge.  Place hands on the part that the pins are attached to where it says Printomic.  Push firm to hard.  The tool will “snap” into place.  This will break the tool in.  The tool is a friction fit in use which maximizes strength and provides the best cartridge grip.
• The tool features 8 field pins.  Only 2 of them are required for the tool to work properly.  The others are provided for durability and redundancy.

Instructions:

– Open lid with TBK4 end of tool.
– Insert TBS4 into cartridge
– Twist left or right while pulling upward to extract cartridge
– Use gentle hand pressure to remove the cartridge from the tool.

For re-insertion, clean station and insert new or serviceable bait cartridge.  Use TBK4 end to lock lid on station.

Note: To maximize strength this product is made/printed in a specific orientation.  That makes the handle finish a little rougher than I’d like but this is offset by higher strength and durability.
